My vintage tree

I've been wanting an aluminum tree as long as I can remember. I finally found one on eBay that was within my budget

  1. I love vintage. I think this aluminum tree is cool. It brings back the memory of my father bringing one home one evening in December in the 1960's. The four of us girls threw a fit. He took it back to the store and got his money back. Then took us to the woods that weekend to find a real Sand Pine Christmas tree. That's what I grew up with.

I'm not saying I wouldn't own one of these trees now, they are so cool, but back then we wouldn't have one. Did you get a color wheel to go with it? ~Ames

  2. Love it!! I haven't put mine up since the color wheel broke, but plan on getting another one soon. It looks great with the ornaments and tablecloth!

  3. I don't have a color wheel yet, but I improvised with a spotlight that I clipped onto the table and it works great. I also have a traditional tree in my livingroom. I also grew up having a real tree and going to the Christmas tree farm to pick one out and cut it down ourselves was one of the most things we did as a family.
